       @john Had to go for apocalyptically bad but 99% of that is because we aren't going to do enough about climate change - as evidenced by the inertia and obstruction that's happened for a few decades of my adult life - than the current *waves at the state of global politics today*.

       @john In the short-term, only bad. A lot of the things they want to do are impossible but they don't understand that until they try.In the medium-term, extremely bad. What we've created with capitalism and neoliberalism specifically has positive feedback loops built into it which are just going to keep making things worse.In the long-term, everything is going to be unimaginably amazing. Only that which is sustainable can survive, by definition. Everything else will clear itself away.
