Can relate to the guy a little. Not because my proposal was rejected as well (went fine, she accepted), but because I know how nerve wrecking it is if you want to surprise her. Got my driving license on December 2017, proposed on December 2018 and got bachelor degree in Economics on December 2019 and proposal was by far the most stressful of them all.

@settra_the_imperishable Okay, I remember now, they pulled a modern Marvel-ism in that one with "Oohh, the intimidating bad guy is actually a loser who's just a puppet for the real bad guy" schtick that people didn't (and still don't) like
