@BrodieOnLinux am i a bad person to think what the bug did is very based?I wish my linux could still take down sun systems on the network and it was banned in universities.Would be very funny.

@BrodieOnLinux Well that's one way of dealing with the competition.(I was a grad student in a university astronomy department long enough ago that most of astronomers were still using Sun workstations, but a gradual transition to Linux was underway)

@BrodieOnLinux Of course the University would do the proprietary thing and not allow free software to be on the network (the kernel, Linux was free software 1992-1995 and I'm gambling that was the time range), rather than just saying tough luck if you use proprietary OS's.
