@tomjennings Agreed. I've tried over the years to look at it semi-regularly. I just can't.Aside from the occasionally decent(Dan Goodin, perhaps??) security article, it's just too... glossy, mainstream for me. I'm not their audience and that's OK.I've mostly tossed it into the bin with the likes of old-timey PCMag, ZDNet/CNet, etc. At least it's not Information Week or Network World...#TechFluff

@kevinbowen "It used to be better". Ok, I was also more tolerant of shiny salesy articles. Ok, tech to some degree wasn't as evil, etc. But ars is now redundant. It's not all their fault, I suppose, in that if they don't do what they're doing, what would they do instead? It's not like there's another "tech" to follow... Of course I mean one that makes money.
