       @ArnGrimR rather stupid to do that. cartels are criminal organizations. terrorism is a form of political activism. the so-called designation or label is being added to give the government access to more resources in confronting the cartels. but just changing the name of something when it is convenient is justifying a lie, and makes the label meaningless eventually

       @relentless_eduardo Good point. Yet this question remains: when cartels reach a certain size, and have ties with foreign countries, the lines blurs. Look at the engagement of the mafia when the Allied were planning and then executing their invasion of Italy, starting in Sicily: crime syndicate, or something more?When cartels start bribing officials and influence policy, did they not cross into the political realm with that?I agree it is a very grey zone, and your caution is well placed.
