Sigh. The recommended approach to getting git on a LibreElec box is make a Docker container. I've done this, but it takes 21 seconds to run git. I feel this is the "fuck you" approach to installing software.

@puckI may be a crotchety old curmudgeon, but Docker is something I tend to avoid. HomeAssistant on the Pi uses it and I find it often gets in the way.

@vik I still insist on running Home Assistant by installing it, but I have to run Debian Testing in that virtual server to have a version of Pyrhon that HA supports. Dropping versions of languages in currently supported distros is so annoying.
