"foone thought, and not for the first time, that she needed a framework to easily turn MS-DOS applications into web apps."Wait. I meant compilers, but what really is stopping me from using WASM+DOSBox to run a compiler in a JS box, but I just add some extra Magic to let you download files off it?

it's like the Internet Archive's Internet Arcade/Emularity except instead of Prince of Persia and Oregon Trail, it's MS C Compiler 5.1!

@leo I once wrote a CGI framework where you could write simple CGI scripts in Microsoft QBasic. That was an early form is this idea, I guess.

@foone if I'm understanding correctly... that's actually 100% the cursed thing that I'm up to right now except it is Borland C++ 2.0 https://gitlab.com/rawrs/borland-c-2 ... I could probably throw it up on a webpage real quick and tie it with some browser file system APIs

@foone I did a lot of likely silly work making my own file system API thing and then putting some async filesystem stuff into a fork of em-dosbox that can support a headless mode. but yeah, it shouldn't be too bad as long as dosbox can run it.
