@strypey Interview Beer I did - though not about Cybersyn. I wanted to explore Opetational Research. I was (and am) sceptical of his cybernetic scientism and VSM. Fwiw some material here, assembled during the brief exchange between me and Yevgeny Morozovhttps://share.mayfirst.org/s/tsMZGiTGDw98dFRinterview was material for my (klunky) DOhil thesis 'Opetational research & the forces of production - A marxist analysis of science & ideology' https://share.mayfirst.org/s/zGAaCPsTykQtm2X

@mike_hales > Fwiw some material here, assembled during the brief exchange between me and Yevgeny MorozovWhat was he like as an interviewer? I've had my issues with his bombast in the past, particularly pieces like this where he can't distinguish between a Tim O'Reilly and a John Perry Barlow;http://www.thebaffler.com/past/the_meme_hustlerBut so far I've found the Santiago Boys podcast to be both more nuanced and - perhaps as a result - much more insightful.

@strypey As an interviewer? Very intelligent, reads a lot, thus it's possible to pick up unexpected angles. But maybe it's easy to get too esoteric for the eventual listeners. Very prepared, perhaps over prepared. Running a complex machine of material collection, trying to make the segments modular, stand alone and sound-bite-ish. 'A jackdaw'?

@strypey In the end, what he used of mine was off at a tangent to the main feel I have about Beer and VSM. I guess his overall assessment of the significance of the Santiago episode is different than mine - but I can't say just how bcos I never had the time to listen. Same issue with any journalist? They'll write what they have it in their head to write, not necessarily what one source offers them?Over valueing the technocratic Leftism of the Allende formation?
