       Why did Lina Khan succeed so much more than Gary Gensler?

       @interfluidity Is anti-monopoly more popular than anti-crypto?

       @mpanhans it's probably true that the public broadly is madder at the things Lina Khan has targeted and still mostly just perplexed by crypto.

       @interfluidity Was she that much more successful? I thought Gensler did pretty well (assuming you're talking about crypto)There's definitely differences in style- Gensler is a creature of Washington and works within the system, whereas Khan seems willing to reshape the agency in her image.

       @Arianity oh, i think Gensler did not do so well on crypto. when he started, it was clear he meant to aggressively reign in crypto. he ended up basically forced by lawsuits to normalize crypto, to approve crypto ETFs. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/11/secs-gensler-gives-in-to-a-bitcoin-etf-but-the-hostility-is-still-there.html
