       I've always wanted a mouse that did that. Embed a 128gb USB flash drive chip into the mouse. Then you can copy a file onto it, then connect it to another computer, and there it is

       yet another thing I need to do for my Ultimate Bench Keyboard: Stick a bunch of interpreters on it, so you can script your keyboard in PASCAL or QBASIC or FORTH

       @foone a changing of the guard at work means I must return my laptop and be issued a new one. I've been promised local admin access but don't know if I'll be able to run WinCompose yet.Just occurred to me, I could move the compose-key functionality upstream, ideally to the keyboard itself or to an adapter module. Specifying custom compose sequences would become a chore but I hardly ever need to do that.

       @sabik I've got at least one of those, it's a mouse-phone. but it'd be neat to do a mouse with a pick-up sensor that triggers Siri or similar, so you could talk to it

       It's got a 4 megabyte flash chip on the main PCB. I bet if I dumped that I'd find 3mb of the flash storage and 1mb of firmware
