       The one thing I would like "DOGE" to cut from the US government is pennies and nickels. They aren't useful for commerce anymore, and prices can simply be rounded, same as we have always had to do with fractional prices like sales tax. Depending on zinc and copper prices, they sometimes cost even more to mint than they are worth.

       That's not even including the net cost to businesses and banks having to stock and deposit all those extra coins. It's just not worth it for a hundred tons of zinc and copper that just sit in people's change jar.
