(Wenders)Solveig made her film debut in Wenders' achingly beautiful Wings of Desire. We lost her suddenly in 2007, aged only 45.        So, the 5 hour director's cut of Until the End of the World. Did it really need that length before being edited for the (3 hour) original release back in the day? Perhaps not, but really, 5 hours spent in a shared, cinematic dream by Wim Wenders is no bad way to spend an evening as the day clicked over into morning, the ending of a year beckoned, and my own personal birthday clock ticked another rotation around our glowing star.#film #films #movies #WimWenders #UntilTheEndOfTheWorld

       @LordWoolamaloo That 5hr cut explained so much that the 3hr cut didn't, and I'm livid it took me this long to find a copy of the 5hr cut in the US. It's 3 movies in one, and it's so good. It's a road movie until it clearly isn't. So much space to breathe. ❤️
