There's something a off about the new pottery studio in town. When it first opened, there was just the one woman running the place: tall, severe, always tightly corseted and in a hurry. But, now her five daughters have shown up as well, and they are all the spitting image of their mother, only not quite as tall. There may be more than five of them by now, the place is hive it seems for a certain type of rather dour, busy woman. And I have seen them out back, crafting pots of unusual size.

At our little hill just out of town, we don't often take much notice of the townies. And we'd rather not be noticed ourselves. Perhaps you find it hypocritical of us to pass judgement on a matriarchy. Or "numerous sisters" --but I think I've seen this sort of thing before. And it may not be good. Not good at all. What are they keeping in all of those massive pots??

@CStamp This is based on where my imagination went when my mom was gossiping about the new pottery shop. Which really is run by this tall woman and her three tall daughters.

I'm imaging a small town that's protected by the ants, only none of the non-insect people know it. For some reason other insect people troublemakers keep on moving in or stopping by. From Vespa Pottery Studio, to the traveling grave digger beetle family (who didn't turn out to be all bad)--Only the ant family who live on (and in) the little hill just out of town know the dangers that creep and crawl.

@futurebird @CStamp My mom keeps starting conversations about how some newly selected incoming official said yes, they're definitely putting anyone whose heritage has even touched the Iberian peninsula in camps in 2025 for sure seriously no matter what paperwork or records exist.Maslow's hierarchy pyramid but ”being freaked out” is the top triangle.

@futurebird Come to think of it, the largest project in _DIY!_ was the girls building a tree house made out of repurposed wood. I don't know which ant species this would make them most like but I'm sure there's a similar one.
