       Someone told me yesterday of a minutes app for meetings they'd found. Knowing how these apps work, I checked the security policy. I got my fears confirmed. It collects data and share it with 8 third parties, including use for ads & analysis.I showed her this, and said she should probably get consent from others when using the app. Today she told me she'd uninstalled it and thanked me for the warning!We can't expect people to figure this out.        It's one thing using transcription services for work meetings where the company has already evaluated the risk. But we can't expect regular people without the technical expertise to do this for private use, and in local level political and organisation meetings.
