Black screen on boot issue AGAIN on @archlinux after upgrading to #Linux kernel 6.12.1.arch1-1I know Nvidia will probably get the blame again, but this is getting tiring - seems to be every new #ArchLinux major kernel release π

@solarisfire @archlinux my system didn't get that issue, I run Nvidia GPU and am on 6.12.1-arch1-1 - Maybe it's something else in your system causing it?

@meatlotion @archlinux You're using the official repo version, which got a fix for the issue on the 14th (https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/nvidia-utils/-/commit/f3777d92d102a0f6313228a2b6d19d8ef852679d).Because I use nvidia-all and installed the driver earlier than it was released to Arch's own repositories, I installed 565.57.01 before a fix for 6.12 was put in.I was just punished for my own impatience π

@meatlotion @archlinux Yeah I could switch back quite easily, I just have to install the official versions using yay and it would remove the nvidia-all versions as they'd be marked as conflicting.I just like having the bleeding edge drivers as soon as possible, and I find Arch can lag slightly after a driver release. Although it does seem to lead to slightly better stability.
