       the free speech warriors want to make big pharma ads on tv illegal. the less regulation folks want more limits on what can go in our food.I'm open to all of it but please stop acting like you're the principled ones. we all want more laws or less depending on our goals and how we think we can best meet them. #uspol

       @wjmaggos@liberal.city Corporate speech as a whole was a mistake.  Citizens United set free speech back, since then a lot of social media censorship has been entrenched by arguing that platforms have right to speech which is quite a crazy inversion of what they're expected to be.So while I'll grant you it's a contradiction, but only because they don't go far enough.On the second point I agree with you there.The fight over what are good and bad regulations never ends anyways.

       @wjmaggos@liberal.city On the first point they just aren't going far enough. Citizen's United should be reversed and legal entities that aren't actual people shouldn't have speech rights.I don't have a dog in the second fight and agree you're right there, but the argument is always "there's too many bad regulations". That particular debate never ends.

       @wjmaggos He's an official member of the Libertarian Party. Because of their current political machinations, they are doing the usual cult gaslighting routine for anyone who criticize the libertarians who support him by pointing out that he's not a libertarian. And maybe he's more libertarian than the alternative, and/or maybe they prefer his authoritarian rules over the current, but surely the things you bring up are not libertarian. I hope too many people won't lose their principles entirely.
