@Matty @newt At your scale it kind of pays to have your postgres on a dedicated physical machine. But for isolation of different services (like mine) which aren't fully utilized ever, just being able to snapshot and rollback when an update fails is like cheating.

@mia gave it 16 gigs of ram, 128mb video, 8 cores. Also, this is KVM. Also also, Kubuntu installed just fine.

@splitshockvirus @matty @newt you can snapshot and rollback when an update bricks on a single machine, Pleroma/soapbox is so portable that as long as you back up your initial install parameters (specifically your DB user/pass) you can just redeploy pleroma on top of the existing db

@scathach I just want a nice GUI with settings and all that stuff. Qemu is fine when I want to hack on things, but for day-to-day stuff VBox just works.
