       @yisraeldov I mean genuinely what's it even mean to be liberal or conservative? I find political labels to be very problematic for anything other than use as a pejorative (which I do often lol)

       @admin I was actually thinking that when I saw the OP. The farmer probably would have been "conservative" by his values but might have been less so when it comes to government help.  It is a way of making an us vs them instead of looking at policies and issues. @publicvoit

       @yisraeldov Not surprising, even if the data is a quarter century old.That's literally how their ideology tells them the world should work.Liberals pay taxes and expect the state to provide the necessary handouts for every human to survive.Conservatives consider taxes theft, OTOH, they are way more comfortable with personal charity. As long the state is not involved. OTOH, they also support the idea that inequalities are good and fair, etc.
