In Finnish the expression when you accidentally button your shirt up with the wrong button to the wrong buttonhole, thus offsetting the whole thing is "in the way of the drunkard's buttons" or juoponnapissa. If there's a fun English expression for the same thing, I don't know it. If your language has any fun expression for it, I also do not know it, and would like to know!#Language

@sinituulia I have definitely called it “drunk buttons” but I’ve never heard anyone else say it

@campbell "Your buttons are drunk" as a sentence would be immediately understandable to me, but I'm not sure if that's because I'm Finnish or because it makes sense
