Yesterday, I asked a question on the #Ubuntu forums and so far, there's no reply. @filiph Why should any game care about whether OS animations are enabled or disabled? Is this a thing in Ubuntu or do you just want to strictly respect the OS settings?

@fuxoft The engine I'm using respects the settings by default. I can easily override it but I'd rather fix the upstream engine so that others don't need to deal with this.
