If you want a perfect example of what's wrong with me, know that I am considering adding another TV screen to my house and I need it to mirror what's playing in the bedroom.I thought about running coax (and NTSC analog TV) before I thought about Wi-Fi and ethernet

@foone When I wanted to accomplish that, I wound up with a sever in the closet and raspberry pis under each tv, so you're not all the way there yet lol

@foone HDMI matrix switches are super neat, I have no real use for one but I've had my eye on https://a.co/d/2Ed8ZWzIt'll do 4 inputs to any of 4 outputs

@foone What about running coax for SDI video? One cable should be good enough for HD. HDMI converters are cheap.

@foone @f4grx the pin in the middle of the coax cable is pointy, what more point do you need

@foone to be perfectly fair, given the current state of tech, I imagine that would be a far more reliable and less frustrating setup than what's currently commercially available

@jazzoomazzoo probably. the coax cable never randomly lags or goes out because of interference

@foone it also isn't rented to you as a service that will be shut off in 3 years when the company that made it gets bought by a larger one

@foone oh you're missing an opportunity to make it even sillierip delivery over ethernet using MoCA converters
