If cats had the means and ability to produce their own media it would smell SO BAD. Pica is obsessed with anything stinky, fishy, funky, or pungent. One of her favorites are freshly removed shoes on a hot day. Or the little tubes of fish funk sauce she loves so much. I shudder to think what she would create if she had the means...

Consider the horrors of "cat perfume" ... and then worse? cat perfume for adolescent cats with unsubtle tastes.

But smells make her so happy. She's so damn strange. I guess I'm glad she happy... and at least she doesn't smell ... predators generally don't. She just loves to smell horrible things.

@futurebird Of course dogs do this. Sophie loved to perfume herself with rotting carcasses. Instant bathtime.

@springdiesel Is that just some attempt to save the stink for later? To savor it or something?

@futurebird I'm having a hard time seeing how any of this is worse than Drakkar Noir.

@futurebird My cat loved nothing more than rubbing herself to people's armpits after a heavy workout.

@futurebirdI recall reading somewhere that pet food producers have figured out that cats like stronger-smelling food than dogs, possibly because dogs have more powerful noses than cats.

@futurebird @mansr @mammyisa Kinda makes you wonder if humans really dislike certain odors because they're innately repulsive, or if it's a societal thing that we learn.
