I got the parts and finished deshrouding my GPU, and I swapped the ATX power supply that came with the DeskMeet for a be quiet! SFX one so there's a bit more space inside the thing. Now the RX 6600 is cooled by an NF-A12x15 instead of the two 90mm fans it came with.I also had to open a PSU for the first time to reverse the fan in it, which felt a bit sketch but I managed to not die.

I haven't gotten the CRJ Micro to standard 4-pin adapter though. So for now the fan is plugged into the motherboard instead and set to 55% fan speed. It's much quieter, but also runs a little bit hotter than the stock fans so I might have to bump the speed a bit until I get the adapter, then the fan should hopefully be controlled by the GPU itself.

@quad I killed the fan controller on my video card in a probing accident because the pinout is apparently different to the standard PC case one

@not_benis Well that sucks. Hopefully I don't kill mine because I'm just buying some pre-made cable from china: https://www.amazon.com/CRJ-4-Pin-Adapter-Sleeved-Graphics/dp/B07Q5BTTDX

@quad I tried to run the integrated fans in parallel with the 140mm fans I mentioned yesterday but they wouldn't start at all, however either the integrated ones (obviously) or the 140mm ones would run by themselves, so you'll probably be fine

@not_benis Sounds more like you maybe blew some sort of fuse that was on the card's fan controller to avoid dumping power into a stuck fan motor or something
