🐧 Linux market share keeps rising | From last month's 4.44% to 4.55% now 💹 ◉Share is of course more; Chrome OS is Linux also (Google's Linux but not a Free Desktop type)◉The "Unknown" category should include much Linux (only user agents hidden)◉This is true desktop usage (Steam Deck is not used to browse web for most) ►https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/worldwide#Linux #Statcounter #marketshare #desktop #Ubuntu #LinuxMint #FedoraLinux #deleteMicrosoft

@Linux There is an amazing narrative here, unfolding over time. And I've got plenty of speculations, but my hope is that it promotes decentralization and openness of technology.

@Linux >Chrome OS is Linux also (Google's Linux but not a Free Desktop type)You really can't help but to contradict yourself with doublespeak instead of accepting the reality that Linux is only a kernel can you?As far as I can tell, version of Linux that chromeOS uses is just a custom config of the proprietary kernel from kernel.org - after all, chromeOS is just Gentoo GNU/Linux with the freedom removed.Sure, by default it uses the Freon windowing system instead of a windowing system from free(proprietary)desktop.A non-confusing and correct way to point out how chromeos differs from the typical config of systemd/Linux and GNU/Linux would be; "Chrome OS is GNU/Linux, but restricted and with the Freon windowing system".
