I don't think there is any more wholesomely deranged group of people on earth than the Stardew Valley Speed Running community. These people have taken this wholesome farming simulator and systematically reduced it to total madness. There are records for getting married fastest, completing the community center and one of them started a cult in co-op.

@futurebird Even if you aren't speedrunning, it's very easy to find yourself trying to optimize things, get the community center as fast as possible, and get rich quick.I mean, if I start a new farm, I tend not to have the community center first year, but it's usually just because I've missed a few of the fish for the fishing bundle...(Funny thing is the game is actually much more casual if you decide to side with Joja instead. Capitalism is easier!)
