       For Mac hams, what's your favorite free #APRS app?Currently using QTH.app and it's great, but want to know my options before shelling out $30 to be able to TX with it.

       @Geojoek I'm curious too. Right now I have a sub to aprs.fi for iOS but nothing on the Mac per se. When I'm using APRS it's mostly from my HT or a mobile, without a computer being involved... RPi iGate excepted... I do use aprs.fi in my Mac browser quite often.

       @croyle QTH.app seems very nice. But I'm a cheapskate.For mobile stuff I'm just going to plug it into an old Android I have lying around and jope for the best.

       @Geojoek @croyle is there a Mac port / brew install for direwolf?

       @PopeASDF @croyle Looks like a few years ago someone was able to build from source and it worked fine: https://klop.solutions/building-dire-wolf-for-macos/

       @Geojoek @croyle I haven’t tried myself… but https://ports.macports.org/port/direwolf/ or https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/direwolf

       @Geojoek @croyle I love building from source but… when others have done the legwork…

       @PopeASDF @croyle Precisely. I like the idea of building from source. But I seldom succeed so when there's already a package / formula out there I hop on it. 😂

       @PopeASDF @croyle Well I got direwolf working and it's providing a nice little readout in the terminal, but now to find a GUI / client for it...

       @Geojoek @PopeASDF Hopefully a lot of the Linux Direwolf guides would work in the CLI... I keep a list of useful commands for it, like "sudo journalctl -o cat -afn -u direwolf" to display the running logs.

       @croyle @PopeASDF I'm still working my way through the user manual-- looking at the live log in the terminal is fun as I imagine using CLI for 4337 hacker feels, but QTH.app is also so nice I'm very tempted to just pay the money, since it's going to another ham.

       @Geojoek @PopeASDF If it's going to another ham, shouldn't they be paying the fee?

       @croyle @Geojoek think he’s saying a ham is the developer who wrote the software :)

       @PopeASDF @Geojoek Ah, that makes sense! I thought maybe he was building a system for another ham. :)
