Taiwanese authorities are attempting to censor leading UK women’s rights campaigners from raising concerns about the Olympics gender furore.Nicola Williams, director of Fair Play For Women, has alerted the Foreign Secretary after being asked by the state to delete posts on social media.London-based officials from the Taiwan embassy also wrote to The Telegraph to claim reporting “wrongly” referred to their nation’s boxer Lin Yu-ting, along with Algerian Imane Khelif, as “biologically male fighters”.https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/boxing/taiwan-attempts-to-silence-uk-women-s-right-campaigners-in-olympics-gender-row/ar-AA1oUYX5

@LostInCalifornia It's absolutely outrageous that people are getting into legal hot waters over social media posts like these. Which also shows where priorities lie because men calling for violence are left alone

@Raunchel No, it's a big bluff. No one is getting into hot water; Algeria and Taiwan just want you to think you are.I suppose a French person might get fined if France decides to ignore the facts behind the "cyberbullying", and I'm not sure how thing co-ordinate with the EU, but the 2 people most often named are in no trouble whatsoever. In the US, you can talk about a public figure all you want, and the threshold for defamation is exceedingly high. They can get someone fired, but not jailed, for "misgendering" and it's not a trans thing anyway (according to the TWAW folks.)Elon is peachy, and I bet JKR knows this is the same as Scotland's hate speech laws.
