@BrodieOnLinux I can't wait for all the issues to be opened on Gnome apps' repos even tho people beg for this not to happen

@gloopsies If they don't want to support it that's absolutely fine and they should probably just setup a bot to auto close theming related issues.

@TheEvilSkeleton @gloopsies No it's a suggestion to deal with the problem from the GNOME side not a judgement on the difficulty. Theming isn't going to go away in the rest of ecosystem and as long as there is some mechanism available other desktops and distros will use them.

@TheEvilSkeleton @gloopsies I think it's ok to auto close an issue if a user is using a theme, like it's fine to auto close an issue if they're on a distro that cherry picks untested patches.

@BrodieOnLinux This seems to be fine with DTMA’s intentions. The apps aren’t themed by default and the user is forewarned of issues.

@TheEvilSkeleton @gloopsies Both are ultimately providing a bad user experience, either they open an issue and it gets auto closed or they open an issue and no one ever deals with it because theming is not a problem upstream wants to deal with.

@BrodieOnLinux Even if auto closing all issues related to theming was okay, it's still not easy to do. When I was still new to Linux I used to use #Manjaro (unfortunately). It had a broken Gnome theme that made Libreoffice unusable. I knew it was broken, but i thought it was Libreoffice's mistake. I didn't even know that there was a theme applied. I didn't file any bug reports then, but if I did I would open a report to the Libreoffice team and wouldn't know to mention any theming was applied

@TheEvilSkeleton @gloopsies No matter what warnings are provided there will still be bug reports upstream and some method will need to be in place to deal with them. It's less of a problem for users who actively choose to switch to COSMIC and setup a theme (they will see these warnings) and instead those who are using a distro that ships a heavily modified version out of the box
