You can't decide not to report news just because it sounds ridiculous. You can't say "no one would ever just seriously say they want to be king of America and end voting so I'm gonna pretend they said something else."If that's what they said... that is the story. Stop making things up and open your eyes. He said Christians in particular would be happy with how he's "fixed it" so that you "don't need to vote"I can't believe there is a discussion about what this means at all.

Trump: I want to have everyone who makes me angry put in prison or kicked out the country or killed. I want to make it impossible for anyone but me to be in power forever. In particular I would like to have the media who have said bad things about me impaled on the fence outside of the Whitehouse as a warning to the other journalists. @justafrog Sometimes I think it's that they hate to admit the scruffy left has been right all along. From day one. Back in 2015 when sensible people tsk tsk'd at me for saying this stuff. But that is just ... trying to center the story on my own Cassandra like experience as I watch the box of horrors spill out. In reality I think part of it is just fear of admitting how far close to the edge we have come.

@futurebird I actually don't think he's dumb enough to tell them that he's going to destroy democracy. He's dumb enough to make it sound like that and not immediately clarify, but I think he just meant "I'm going to make things good so you don't need to vote". Which is incredibly dumb. Either way this statement is x of 10000000000 disqualifying him from being anywhere outside of an old folks home.
