Hey #programmers of Fedi, what is the best notebook/IDE for #python3 coding on a Windows machine. Please keep in mind, we are not super tech savvy, so the simpler to install/run the better. We want to get back into #coding but honestly it's a bit overwhelming to figure out where to start. Please boost for a wider reach, even if you don't particularly have an answer.🙏🏻

For reference: We have very few illusions that this is going to be a Career or anything like that. We just want to do some coding here and there as the whim strikes us.

@mousefriend I believe Windows version of Python comes bundled with IDLE nowadays:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDLEI'm never installing it as I use Vim for everything — Python included, but check it out — I remember it being quite okay for drafting ideas and learning, especially if you aren't interested in investing too much time into configuring it and such. It's written in Python itself even!
