       Something that would be very funny for me would be if the IOC produced an Olympics app that just showed all events in 8K live and free. You'd basically lance the global TV advertising industry.

       @geordie last time I had any interest in the tournament of the rings, the IOC made high quality video of every event (every heat/race/bout/match/whatever) freely available about a month later.That more than satisfied me. I feel no urge to watch it live.

       @geordie sure it would be simpler but do we think olympics coverage could pull even 10% of what they earn by outsourcing to idiots propping up traditional media in a hundred countries?
