@RustyBertrand @OurParadise I love the Montessori philosophy for mathematics. It's done with PHYSICAL OBJECTS so you get a tactile, visual sense.

@RustyBertrand @OurParadise The beautiful thing is that these beads are used for addition/subtraction but also multiplication (rectangles & cubes) and division (putting beads as equally as possible into cups)After ~4 years of PHYSICALLY MANIPULATING REAL OBJECTS, many kids have an intuitive "feel" for numbers that I didn't develop until adulthood
