Anyone out there a native Lithuanian speaker? We added a new English to Lithuanian model in Firefox Nightly, and it's just under our quality metric for release. We may be able to still release it if we get some native speakers telling us that it's good enough. (boosting appreciated).

@gregtatum it's producing readable text just fine, but comparing it to translate.goog side by side on wikipedia, it does seem a bit iffy in places, try contacting some people from https://river.group.lt/public/local though, maybe @karolis or @mcSlibinas will boost and share your post

@i @karolis@group.lt @mcSlibinas@group.lt Thank you! Our document translator (which is independent of the machine learning model) struggles a bit with the inline tags in Wikipedia sometimes. Would you mind trying on a few news articles as well to compare?

@gregtatum @i comparing news articles and gutenberg books, there's words it mistypes or disfigures, phrases it changes meaning on, it's a great effort, but definitely under the quality metric
