@Venefilyn You can import and edit .txt / .docx and export in other formats like .pdf, .txt, .md, and .html, as well as .txt and .docx. .odt is not yet supported. To create a new document, simply open the Proton Drive web app, and click on "New" in the top left corner. You will see the option for a "New document".

@protonprivacy The document editor looks a bit bare bones. I think if y'all had gone the nextcloud office route and used the colabora engine, that might have been a bit better.You may have had to do a fork or something to still keep all the encryption requirements but I think that probably would have made it easier. The current version to me looks more like a markdown editor than a full-on word processor. Still though, I am happy that you are giving an alternative to Google ecosystem.

@protonprivacy When are you going to work on the accessibility problems that I have encountered? Menu bars are not reading with NVDA on windows. They appear to not be labeled. A screen reader user, using Firefox, cannot review text inside of a document. They must copy and paste the Text from the document to an outside source. This makes any collaborative features almost impossible to work with.

@protonprivacy The Proton collection of apps - especially Drive/Docs, Mail/Calendar, and VPN has now made it worthwhile, to switch to Proton. And it's cheaper too!Major problem. I'm on Linux and there isn't a desktop Drive app for synching data. Any idea when this is coming?Looking forward to this so I can move over fully to Proton.
