is the only drawback of a foldable e-bike the smaller battery? given that that comes with lower weight, it seems like a plus

I figure if I bike to stewarts and reward myself with a ice cream I might actually exercise. 2 miles of that is on the terrifying highway, but I do see people biking it, and if I actually bike it maybe I can talk the state into lowering the speed limit or something

it's only 4 miles to stewarts, and a full loop through selkirk, ravena, and coeymans (should I ever be brave enough) is only 12 miles a max range of 25 miles should be fine?

I bought the bike. it is missing one of the nuts for the front wheel. I emailed their support, but until I get the nut the bike is unrideable. bleh

lol oops the nut was inside a protective plastic thingus. now the problem is that one of the links in the chain doesn't bend, so it makes a series of cachunks ever time it goes through the derailer

youtube says it's as simple as bending it until it moves, but I can't get it to budge. guess I have to take my brand new bike somewhere to get serviced lol

I got mixed up looking at specs and it turns out the 5 speed foldable is the same weight and price as a non-foldable, so I guess that's out. maybe the problem is not the bikes, but the fact that I can't lift 60 pounds or bike without assistance

wish I lived on a safer road so I could slowly build up my endurance until it felt safe. a bikeable trail through the wildlife area next to me would also work

@wolfe @wxcafe I could probably make it there using just the electric motor, but 9 miles on the highway is probably not the best first trip to try on it
