i think leftists consistently overestimate how much of corporate decisionmaking is based on rational, financial cost/benefit analysiscorporations are made up of people, flesh and blood living breathing people, who act irrationally all the god damn time, and sometimes they make awful irrational decisions because they think it's the better option
