       First back-to-skating injury! I didn't stick the landing on a mute grab 180 launch out of a bowl, my wheels slid out, and I ended up doing the partial splits. Ouch. Definitely pulled some muscles in the process. My left leg was in too much pain when I stretched it out to operate the clutch so I had my wife pick me up and now I'm home on the couch icing everything.#skating #InlineSkating #AggressiveInlineSkating

       @lwriemen @kyle Back when I was a yute, mid-life crisis meant buying a Porsche. Now I'm old and angry that my meds are messing up my recovery time after #InlineSkating sessions.

       @roadskater @lwriemen I had more of a mid-life crisis thrust upon me starting with being laid off from Purism, then a death in the family, a stroke with another family member, relocating family across the country, and trying to figure out what I value and what kind of career I want.It's only now starting to settle out back to a new normal with a job (after being unemployed for a year) and some stability, and I think returning to inline skating became part of that return to normal.
