@km @nus He's just upset about something back Dec -- I won't bore you with the details unless you ask.But he does this, in part, because @stux allows it.

@stux @km @nus you're letting your user maliciously toggle the blocking mechanism, stux.

@stux @km @nus actually, you can, by simply enforcing what would arguably be a reasonable understanding of most policies for instances. If it matters, I'll take a look at the policies for mstdn.social and I'd be surprised that this doesn't fall under one of the stated polices.

@nicholas_saunders @stux @km @nus Can you clearly define the behavior that you are describing as maliciously toggling the blocking mechanism?

@admin @stux @km @nus He starts from blocking me. Then he replies to me, and immediately toggles it back to blocking me.I'm not able to reply.Nor can I report the message as that message "doesn't exist" for my account.Repeat ad nauseum.

@nicholas_saunders @admin @km @nus In that case I would block him instead and be done with it :cat_hug_triangle: I do agree, that's not behaviour we accept

@stux @admin @km @nus if you don't accept it, Stux, how is it my responsibility to enforce rules on your server?

@stux @admin @km @nus Stux, he again blocked my reply to get in the last word -- always a classy move. No worries. But then he tagged me in another post and again blocked my reply. The problem isn't that these posts show in my notifications but that I'm blocked from replying. You have access to timestamps, no doubt, to confirm this cycle. Myself, I'm optimistic that he'll someday be able to engage in civil discussions, and so he, of course, may tag me. But not this tag, block, tag.

@stux @admin @km @nus https://mstdn.social/@nus/112673177937690955https://mstdn.social/@nus/112668297013767474https://mstdn.social/@nus/112663054337630589more examples where I'm blocked from replying. Again, Stux, if he wants to tag me then he should allow replies. This is an ongoing thing.I would expect that you can just look at timestamps to see that he toggles his block on and off.
