@Aogami This is the very defination why in some case pirating is a absolute morale good and the best way to preserve things. There is movement that want to change law in europe so if a game go off market companies need to make the game,/sourcecode publicly avaible so others can still run it, what would be essentila with games that must have a server side to play.

@Aogami I feel the exact same way and I refuse to buy any online only games or download only. If I purchase a game with my money I want to have a physical copy and to be able to play it 20 years in the future. I can still play 007 GoldenEye on Nintendo 64, if you can't do that with the game you're buying I would strongly reconsider your investment. It's so incredibly easy for some company to go under and then pull the plug on their servers and then all of a sudden you have a nothing of a game.

@Aogami I mean I've never needed an internet connection for my switch light and breath of the wild, I don't see a reason why I wouldn't be able to play that 20 years in the future without any issue. Maybe Nintendo is just superior, Sony be on some bullshit without a doubt.

@Aogami at the end of the day we can only sway a business or company's decisions with our money, and by extension organizing social boycotts and similar tactics. I encourage everybody to use their collective wealth to buy video games that more aligned with your values and ethics. And while it's foolish to pretend that a company has either of those, public facing action and policies are direct indications of their commitment to the community.
