All the reporting on the final arguments in the election interference case were very muddled and frankly hard to follow for what I wanted to know. Basically I'm mostly curious if the defense mostly made a technical argument about the law, or did the defense try to dispute the facts of the case?Can anyone who has had some time to follow this say?

@futurebird Neither? I didn't follow that closely, but from what I read, the defense summation amounted to, Daniels and Cohen are liars w/ axes to grind so you can't rely on their testimony. (Not, notably, that Team Trump could point to any actual falsehoods from either...)Basically, it all seemed to amount to 'these people don't like Trump, therefore, you must acquit'But like I say, wasn't there, didn't follow that closely, so I probably missed a lot

@futurebird I was in and out of the closing statements, but to my understanding, they were told not to bring up the semantics of law, and to finish with facts of the case. The defense augmented the facts to try and support a narrative of "reasonable doubt".
