I'm done with the left-right dichotomy. I'm going with ethical vs. unethical from now on. @futurebird @jadp this resonates hard, and I don't know the answer. But it vexes me that any technological innovation can be used for scamming, and almost no inventor intends their inventions to be.Where's the line between good and bad tech, if there is any?

@Shivviness @ChrisMayLA6 as long as BigOil is better represented than any country, you will inevitably be spot on with your judgement.It begs the question however, why we (the people) cannot organise a summit without any fossil representation and simply shut those companies down with force.We are not powerless victims here. @futurebird I really like to shield myself from other humans, so I get that part, but I don't like to kill them. For shopping a cargo bike, sunglasses and hearing protection are fine. But for the transport of tools and family I like something bigger.The funky thing is that it's virtually impossible to buy a vehicle that's doing what I want that isn't also designed to murder humans.Why do even electric vehicles have the 'FU just die' fronts??I blame the ads of the evil oligarchs for this.

I've saved up a little and I can finally replace my work vehicle.Looking for:> 400km range 6-7 seats2m long cargo area (ok to remove seats for that)full electric AWD All fine, found multiple options, BUTI also don't want the 'DIE PEASANT' look at the front end. Is better pedestrian visibility than an Abrams tank too much to ask?Can't find _any_ options 🤦♀️ I *hate* the current car design trend.

@futurebird you probably know the science better than I do, but as I understand brassica is not relying on arbuscular mycorrhizae (~healthy soil) and likes a lot of nitrogen. This makes it easy to grow in containers, and that is also my experience.Fed them the worm compost pure and they thrived with minimal root system.Just need to watch the humidity carefully, because they don't like dry (at least the species I had)Waiting eagerly for the pictures 🙂

@futurebird yup, sounds like my previous situation. Tomatoes and peppers are even better at taking pure compost, so I'd have those in the summer and then grow the cabbage in the same pots after the season. After a year (tomato/pepper->brassica) and a bit of mulch the pots are good for all kinds of plants.I took the paper waste from my neighbors as mulch, for lack of natural woody sources. Worked just fine. All this trouble because buying soil is cheating of course 🤪
