@CppGuy @timbray @nedbat I read a fair amount on this including blogs of people like Eric Topol and such. I see hyperbolic claims by folks like @taylorlorenz that state "millions of people are being permanently disabled". Long covid is defined as symptoms present more than 12 weeks after infection. which means if you had symptoms for 14 weeks and then were fine, you had long covid. however that is not "permanently disabled". convince me of your claim?

@zzzeek @CppGuy @timbray @nedbat @taylorlorenzThe arbitrary place where gov place the goalpost for long covid is just that. I got covid 2 years ago. I can no longer run more than a few dozen meters without going into hypoxia and either needing to sit or fainting. I can no longer go swimming for I would risk drowning very very fast. I don't know the proportion of long term symptoms but I can tell you this is gruesome
