Nothing says "I wasn't expecting to support Windows" like "c:\program files\software\usr\local\bin"

@geordie My favourite was being a support person at a company that supported software that was primarily written on RHEL - often hosted by customers but some hosted by the company. The person who set up the hosting, however, was clearly a Debianista, because they had taken the standard RHEL Apache config and made it point to the directories Debian puts Apache config. I suggested, as someone with RHEL training and who had to support both the FrankenDebian config and the RHEL standard config, that we put it back. They objected that their system was clearly more logical. They did not have to support any customers.Yes, that was just one of the many layers of dysfunctional behaviour there.

@geordie I still wish quite a few of the middle and upper management in that company a variety of painful boils in unavoidable, public places until the day they die. There were so many other dysfunctional ways that company worked.I came out of it seriously questioning whether I could work in the industry, and was very fortunate to have friends who valued me and found me a job where they worked. Thanks @mikecarden and Hugh Blemings!
