#3dPrinting Ender 3 v3 SE wish item - All metal hot end (optional ceramic heater) on a troly that simply uplug the old troly from the printer, remove the troly from the gantry, install the new troly onto the gantry, secure the belts, plug the cable in, power on and autotune the bed leveling. Follow up to tweak the offset, as Creality seems to be getting that too close. Not going to happen, instead I get to fight with a piece of PTFE in the middle of the damn hot end.Maybe get an A1 Mini .

The E3V3SE stopped reliably extruding yesterday. (Friday) I went through and did everything I could to clear out the hot end and nozzle, still getting the same results. Looks like the PTFE tube imay have burned and swollen. Fixing that is going to require ripping apart the hot end anyway, so considering grabbing the Ceramic hot end from the K1 upgrade kit, or the one I picked up from MicroSwitss. Either way need to see if I can sculpt the PTFE to handle TPU better. #3dPrinting

This gave me a chance to add in the 2mm shims I pr8nted for the CR-10S bed leveling. Now I've got the bed level, still need to work out the offset, but for that I tould be really nice if #OctoPrint were talking to the printer. Hoping it's a bad cable rather than a bad socket on the printer or Pi, but I've another box I can work with tor a Pi if necessary. Fearing it's a bad socket on the Printer control box though. #3dPrinting Fun...

#3dPrinting - Well, waiting time for the USBa-Mini-USB cable now. Just swapped out the Pi and no change.Still doesn't see the Printer attached. This was expected, at some level, as both computers can see a USB WebCam plugged into them. I will admit that the possibility that the problem is with the main board of the CR-10S, has the potential advantage that I can pick up a replacement that has the ABL setup pre-compiled into the code, and it's just an option to activate. Not holding my breath...

I do consider it a 'worst caase' possibility, but I do have the tools and parts to replace the Mini-USB connector if I end up being forced to do that. Pretty much anything but my first choice though.

New cable, same result, the problem is with the connector at the R-0S controll board/cable connection. Now to decide if I'm going to getr an A1 mini today so that I can get a printer online.
