       In an attempt to engage with some other humans with a common interest, I finally joined a discord instance. (I think they call it a "servers" to give the illusion of ownership of a thing).  Of all things, why did some tech bro  decide Slack was what normal humans were missing from their lives?

       ..and, just like slack, I tried the app under the assumption that there would be some non-trivial benefit over the abysmal web interface. Shocker: there is not.
