       The very extreme price swings in unusual grid events can unfortunately drive a major impact to ratepayers; these events can be mitigated with collective efforts to reduce usage during periods of unusual supply/demand mismatch (e.g. EV chargers that automatically turn off), an approach I think is typically referred to as "Demand Response".
