       Not sure why they specify that only _some_ of the signatories wanted to mention the hostages. Why this is controversial?A call to free all hostages, POW, and political prisoners on all sides would be simpler, more straightforward, and more in keeping with the values of international solidarity and peace. This is especially true given all the Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails without due process, sometimes under British era administrative (indefinite) detention on secret charges.
