       So just heard a new type of scam literially done on my neighbor. The guy posed as the local utility worker, and got the bill, and then added himself to the neighor's iDevice FaceID.I saw this scam in the past, but he managed to hook my neigherbor. I wasn't able to stop that, but I warned them shortly afterwards, and told them to reset FaceID and be careful.Sometimes all you can do ...

       @ncommander just wondering, but what's the goal of such scam? What will they do next, having added their face to somebody's device?

       @luk1337 I assume they use another iDevice to log in and access iCloud from there. The scammer asked to see the utility bill to make sure you were getting green power.(I heard the start of it, but when I realized he hooked, I went outside. Couldn't stop the actual scam, but I at least managed to give warning).

       @luk1337 like he basically asked to see the utility bill and more. They tried this at my unit a few months ago,, and its very aggressive salesman like tactics.

       @ncommander accessing the FaceID settings requires re-typing the passcode. Did the attacker see the neighbor unlock their phone with the passcode? How else would they have managed to access the FaceID settings? Some new workaround to bypass that password prompt? This is slightly concerning

       @tay @luk1337 Having slept on it, I think the scam was to look at someones utility build to be able to get the information to get root documents for use in identy theft.
