       Started playing pkmn Silver a few nights ago. I've made it past the first two gyms, past my first two rival battles, and out of the forest. I've accidentally ended up with a level 19 hoothoot. He's significantly more powerful than everyone else on my team. ( The rest of the team is between 12 and 17.)

       I'm playing on a (modified) DMG with a flash cart. I played silver originally on a Gameboy color. I had a DMG, but I don't remember using it past the release of yellow. I certainly beat red on my DMG. Of course, this DMG has a backlit 4 color screen and a red shell, so it only really evokes the echo of the past. I don't have a GB color. I do have an advance, and I think it'll work with this flash cart as well. Most of the time I would have spent on this generation would have been on crystal on my advance. I dunno, though, I'm kind of enjoying the chonky boy.

       @ajroach42 an original Game Boy feels so good on my huge adult hands. I recently had a Game Boy Color in my hands and it felt so tiny, I cannot envision myself playing on one anymore.

       Alright. I defeated Whitney. I used a geodude to take out milktank. I remember that battle infuriating me as a kid, but it wasn't bad with the right support. I don't have very vivid memories of the next several segments of the game, so I'm going to go exploring tomorrow.
