thinking about yochlols in 5e againthey have an action called "mist form" that lets them transform to and from mist. there's some pretty impressive oversights in mist form. here's the exact text:"The yochlol transforms into toxic mist or reverts to its true form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying is also transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies. While in mist form, the yochlol is incapacitated and can't speak. It has a flying speed of 30 feet, can hover, and can pass through any space that isn't airtight. It has advantage on Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws, and it is immune to nonmagical damage. While in mist form, the yochlol can enter a creature's space and stop there. Each time that creature starts its turn with the yochlol in its space, the creature must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of its next turn. While poisoned in this way, the target is incapacitated."first oversight? "While in mist form, the yochlol is incapacitated." the exact text of the incapacitated status is "An incapacitated creature can't take actions or reactions."yochlols need to use an action to shift OUT OF mist form. while in mist form they can't take actions. the moment they shift into mist form they are stuck there forever. they can never leave it once they enter it. the broken things don't stop there. they don't gain immunity to stuff while in mist form. most incorporeal enemies have the good sense to gain immunity to grappling or getting restrained or getting knocked prone. yochlols don't. you can grab a fistful of mist, drag it to the ground, and slap handcuffs on it. now the yochlol is incapacitated and can't move, because the mist is firmly held in place on the ground with a pair of handcuffs. it takes an action to break out of handcuffs and its speed is set to zero. since it has 0 speed it can't move away from the manacles restraining it.the rules say you can't enter another creature's space but certain abilities override that. the yochlol does not have those. it can move into other creatures' spaces, but other creatures can't move into yochlol's space. so you now have a 5x5x5 wall of mist held in place by handcuffs that can only be damaged by magical damage.so what you do is you arrest a bunch of yochlols and build a fortress of them inside an antimagic field. you now have perfect impenetrable damage-proof solid walls of mist secured by nonmagical handcuffsdnd dumb
